Was reading the paper today when came across a fitness page good bit on
vitamins and then there was a question on what to wear in the gym!

Q Going to the gym seems to be a fashion parade these days, with every one wearing tight, high-tech outfits. im starting to feel out of place in my old T-shirts and tracksuit bottoms. is it worth buying a new gym kit? im hardley a fanatic.

so there it is my simple answer would be no you dont go to the the gym to look good you go to train.
But the personnal trainer starts saying to chuck out your old t-shirts and tracksuit bottoms and to get some technical fabrics and its not a fashion thing although you will look better (wtf) then he starts going on about an expression "cotton kills" used in mountain sports then starts going on about running about outside and putting on fleece layers!

sorry but hate people like that who go to the gym just to look good.

Going to the gym isn't just about about bodybuilding and powerlifting these days, some people go simply to stay fit and use it as a sociable event so in that sense they will want to look good (as in not old trainers and a tshirt with holes in)

However, buy gear made out of state of the art fabric is just stupid unless your an actual athlete and entering comps.

ps there only one brand of shirt you should be seen wearing in the gym :039:

There was a thing in some magazine about Stella McCartney gym wear saying the days of the old t-shirt are gone...not when I train they're not!
