I would like to pool all of what the forum as a collective knows about glycogen depletion & supercompensation (hereafter, SC), protien degredation & synthesis, sodium and potassium levels and there manipulation, fats, and insulins effects on any/all of the above.

So if you have ANY relevant info, please summerise it below. I have been scannign pubmed for about 2 weeks now learning about glycogen supercompensation. Will report all findings when I come to a conclusion.

and juiced up teens, the training advice is gash central. I remeber an artice once "muscle growth is all about the pump"!

On a side note is SC possible with protein, I read "Optimum anabolics" by geoff anderson, but don't trust him. He believes that periods of protein deperavation follwed by protein flooding will allow you to make "bigginers gains" constantly. His theory is based on the results of starvation dieting where dropping cals prompts your body to store any excess when it gets the chance.

did you ever complete this research? i was interested in what you found out. Is it possible to "feel" supercompensation? When (low carb)cutting and then using 4 times my normall post workout glucose i got a bizzare pump about 30 mins after!

oh god yes. all of my recent mass (20lbs in 8 days) was pure glycogen and water. you can go to bed looking like the hulk and wake up needing a piss and looking 5lbs lighter, lol, then 8 hours of eating and drinking later your 10lbs heavier again.

i started to write a breif article for IC on this, i haven't done anythign on it in weeks. i will finish it soonish and put it up. its a collection of experince and book/forum knowalge.
