It is based on all over body routines three times a week, alternating between two workouts.

Workout A
a form of unilateral work (Quad focused) 2 x 8-10
Romanian Deadlifts 2 x 8-10
Dips 2 x 8-10
Bent Row/chest supported Row 2 x 8-10
DB Overhead Press 1 x 8-10
Pull Ups 2 x 8-10
abdominal work 2 x 12-15

Workout B
Front Squat 2 x 8-10
a form of unilateral work (hamstring focused) 2 x 8-10
DB Bench Press 2 x 8-10
One Arm arm Row or T-bar Row 2 x 8-10
Military Press 1 x 8-10
Chin Ups 2 x 8-10
abdominal work 2 x 12-15

this will give me the opportunity to learn the specific movements again rather quickly and to get back in the swing of things sooner than last time. Also on days off I will be doing some stretching, yoga type stuff, swimming or some other form of CV

any thoughts?

When are you expecting to be back?

There's not too much wrong with it - My main concern is the number of different exercises. My preference would be to slash the number of exercises then up the number of sets per exercise.

I have no idea when I am due back, but I would still like to remain optimistic about my future training prospects.

The above routine is purely an outline for what I intend to do (high frequency and spreading the sets throughout the week - think HST)

if you think about it the volume in total is pretty low with about six sets for the larger muscle groups and three sets for the smaller groups throughout the whole week!

Good man...

I wasn't arguing that the total volume is too high, but that the volume per exercise is too low (or the number of exercises is to high for that amount of volume, whichever way you want to look at it).
