52.5kg per hand x 15 on the right then my left gave up at only 10 reps so i called it a day.
I was supposed to do more rows and then curls but i think i was overdoing it considering how i felt.

I'm not sure. Used to do lots of event training for strongman and not so much gym lifting when i was at my strongest.
I have deadlifted 260 on a bar, more on trap bar and more still on parallel handle apparatus. Squatted about 230 and best bench was 160. I pressed 120 overhead for 3 on a log but not as much on a bar.
My best lift / event was conan's wheel, i did just over 1 revolution with 320kg and 2.5 with 275kg, very bruised forearms!

I have to be carefull with the pushdowns hurting my shoulders as they follow the ohp. All the injuries are ok if i work around them and take some things easy.

You training in a garage Alex? How much did you spend on setting it up?
Thinking of getting a few bits as of next year I won't be allowed out as much!
plat, start regularly watching ebay, be prepared to watch items and make sneaky last minute bids for bargains and be prepared to drive to collect them. Over the last 18 months or so i've got:
Decent power rack £120 + £40 petrol
115kg of oly plates £100 + £20 petrol
130kg oly plates + oly bar £40 + £30 petrol BARGAIN
Weight stand £20 + £10 petrol
Ive also got farmers handles with 90kg std plates and some kettlebells from ebay. For presents ive had my sled, my rolling thunder and more kettlebells. Ive made a sandbag and acquired some scaffolding for thick bars.

Sort of. It is an outhouse at the end of the garden.
Probably spent about £500 all in but i have all i need including over 400kg of weights. Will need a new bar soon though as mine is getting quite a bend in it!
I bought most of my stuff off gymratz plus some off ebay.

A friend of mine talked me into doing hill sprints this evening...Unfortunately he is 10 years younger than me and i last ran in 1996.:stupid:
I did 10 x 30m hill sprints got eaten by mosquitoes then died.

I have just done bottom position squats, (squat starts) for the first time.
from just below parallel
60 x 1

80 x 1 thought i would not make it! adjusted form
90 x 1 much better
100, 110, 120, 130, x 1 all ok
140 x 1 felt heavy
150 x 1 not much different
160 x 1 just made it
170 x 1 slow
180 x 1 got it but could do no more.

More hill sprints today. Went somewhere called the devil's kneeding trough which is a sort of gorge. Very steep. Very Knackered.
