This bastard is giving me horrendus cramps even when I am not squatting (though it does affect my squatting), like when I am driving, or walking.

I have tried various stretchs and some that I dare say have never been attempted.... Nothing seems to stretch it, let alone aleviate this problem.

The nearest it copmes to feeling stretched is when I strecth my quads, but that hardly does anything. I am worried this might be the start of some imbalence/injury and obviously that is scaring the crap out of me.

If its any help, Glutus Medius is playing up too. And though I seem to be able to stretch that, it doesn't stop it hurting.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

TFL pain might not be necessarily be down to the TFL, quite often it can be down to quads.

Did you ever get a foam roller?

I'd recommend see a sports therapist/masseur, get him to palpate quads, tfl, itb etc... see what he/she finds
