View Full Version : FAO: all those with access to Oly dumbbells
I was wondering if you could do a little experiment for me
How much weight can you fit on each dumbbell so it is comfortable to dead lift with a palms facing/semi supinated grip?
Thanks

erm dunno what you mean exactly but i have done 2x 76 kg a db in the past, you would maybe drop to 3x10 kg a side so 60 kg a db + 6 for the db as the 20kg plates get in the way

IMO the 20's are not that bad. So I reckon 80kg+ per DB at very least. Have you considerd a trap bar?
A trap bar is a bit expensive and I don't really fancy leaving stuff at the gym
So has anybody actually tried this poor man's version of a trap bar deadlift?

I havent tried it with oly DBs but you could try it with to Oly bars, put the ends in a corner or against the wall, put plates on the other end, like a t-bar row, then squat or deadlift them
wont the other end tip up?
I would assume not cos' your holding the heavy end of the set up,if you see what i mean
