What 'big three' gym exercises do you think have the best carryover to moving heavy objects in real life? I say Sumo deadlift, Military press and Zercher walk . At work I Sumo deadlift objects off the ground, Military press objects to negotiate through narrow gaps and Zercher walk objects from one place to another.

Spot on. Thats exactly what I did 6-8hrs a day for the 2 years I lifted logs as a tree surgeon.

Actually, trap bar deadlift and push press and zercher walk.

Or many be barrel/log/sandbag push press.
