Haha. They will actually have to put on a third day, especially for me, because I'm too lean to compete with the others.

Are you going, Ian?

Not sure yet; a comp would be nice but would disrupt training quite a bit and I'm thinking I might be better off just beavering away in the gym and focussing on next year now. The alternative is just to rock up and lift, but I get the feeling that would result in me lifting less than I did at the Brits anyway, which would be kinda depressing.

Yeah, likewise I'm only really interested if I can just rock up for the **** of it and hit a wee PR.

As soon as you invite us up for a bench, square sausage and tennants party at the new gym

anything would be an improvement for you based on the last meet.

Half tempted to go along and bench...

this, i would never have imagined you saying in all the days that remain of your insignificance.

just go for shit and giggles, if the comps were closer to me id do it.

Well, if I'm only going to bench, for it to be an improvement I would need to press 155 which, based on the my last couple sessions since starting the diet, may be a struggle. Don't really consider last meet all that much of a disaster. Couldn't give a shit about my total until it's over 700, and bombing is hardcore and awesome. Still hit squat and bench PRs.

Bench only FTW.

I'll be there loading both days. Probably just in the morning on the sat but all day sunday.

BDFPA do an end of year membership for £10-15 quid. It'll be a well run comp as all of Paul Rees' meets tend to be. Its a small venue but the kit will be top and the atmos should be good. Add in a little caff and descent parking.

BDFPA is the place to be for unequipped lifting currently, so rock on down I say!!! Free 'reach-around' for all iron-city guys if they squat whilst I am loading ;)

If anyone is interested I can pm you Pauls email if you want to ask any questions of the man.
