Yes. Very good considering you are ancient. 60-80 is considered normal, healthy. Those with decent cardio can get well below 60. Mine is also 60, which I think is quite good for a fat knacker.

I measured mine at 42 once. This is because I was 110lbs and ate 3 calories a day though, not because I was fit.

Sub 60 is considered to be very fit (as long as you don't weigh 50kg and eat 3 cals a day).

Sub 50 is ridiculous.

Sub 40 is more or less un heard of in healthy adults (Lance Armstrong was the 36bpm guy if I remember correctly, insane).

Interesting fact though, a cyclists heart gets bigger than other athletes hearts due to the position of their body whilst riding, Lance has a heart over the twice the size of a normal man.

Factoid Boom.

36..... That is sick man!

Mine is 61bhp I mean bpm. Not bad considering i'm not lean or do any cardio. Not as impressive as Timmy though!

Fat unhealthy shit.Disgraceful isn't it. It might have been skewed a bit by my trying to take my pulse in my neck as I couldn't find anything in my wrist.

I have become so ****ing healthy and lean and fit and athletic since starting this diet and all this olympic lifting that my RHR is now 48. BOOM. That, or I'm dying.

All of these figures are toal bullshit. You ****s are not below 60, no ****ing chance.

A mixture of retardation (my word of the day) and shitty HR calcs are leading to some ****ed up results here.

That is all.

P.s. Timmy, your HR is like 147.

I absolutely promise you. I've double and triple checked it against a stopwatch several times over the last few days. It's always around 50bpm if I'm just sat around.

Am using a free app for this and despite it feeling like my chest is trying to smash out of my chest, it seems consistent at 61.

I have an app on my phone that works perfectly. I have tested it against a watch countless times.

I thought I would check this just now seeing as I do a fair bit of cycling. I have a garmin with heart rate monitor strap gps and have cycled over 4000 miles this year as a mix of on and off road. When I was weight training my resting heart rate was about 58. I have a cold at the moment which may be elevating things a little I don't know but I got a resting heart rate of between 55 & 51 with a couple of spikes where I moved or stretched my leg doms out a bit. That was from walking straight up stairs (the 1st spike) to relaxing on the bed for about 4 mins. I dont how long you are meant to rest for before you measure it but that was my result. The last spike is me getting up off the bed and getting a drink. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/134375226 I think I max out at about 188bpm these days. It's been a while since I could hit 190s
