Met a cool dude at the gym today.

He trains at a place in Saltney called G1. Its a hardcore gym thats more oriented to my goals than the one I am at, had never even heard of it before.

He said I should come up and train there. He also said I should train WSB, apparently he has all his lifters doing it, most of them compete or are looking to in the very near future.

Thoughs?

ALRIGHT!

Need some ideas though.

Weakness's:
Bench - Everywhere. I am so gay at benching its not even funny. 100kg bench for a 90kg wolverine is crapola. SOG told me to mini max a while back, I did it and found that my weakness specifically is about 4-8" off chest.
My thoughts: Lots 'o benching needed. Assistance that focuses on developing strength at the 0-3 board range.
Squat - Definitly out of the hole-1/4 the way up. Lockout is mega strong as you would expect, probally down to the fact I do very heavy 1/4 squats a lot.
My thoughts: Lots of squatting, maybe some box squats? Zerchers are supposed to be good for out of the hole strength, so that guy said anyhoo.
Deadlift - If I can get it above my knee, I can lock it out, so lots of pulls from the floor and pulls from pins below knee me thinks, but I do this anyway.
My thoughts: Er... keep dong what I am doing. It seems to be working as my deadlift is miles ahead of everything else.

Your input is welcome. Even if I know what Help+wipe are going to say.

Yep, get on the board presses.

What's your CG bench like compared to your normal bench?

Robert, are you thinking of moving back to a more PL-oriented routine soon? I've been out of the loop for a few weeks, but I remember you were interested in a more BB-type approach for a bit. I'd be interested to see if you were going to combine the two. Someone who posts on T-Nation (i think) has been pretty successful at it.
Again, sorry if I've missed something .. as I said, I've only been checking in sporatically these last few weeks.

My CGB is very strong compared to my normal bench. All I used to do was CG. BUT: Oddly enough, I still struggle to lock out?!?!

Need to make some boards, Yellow pages me thinks.

Got bored with doing high reps on all my lifts. I don't mind higher rep assistance, but I absolutely loathe doing anything other than singles, I even hate triples, though they are bearable. And yes, I was sick of squatting with less than 130 and benching less than 80.

I've never really been a fan of board presses myself. I always used the pins in the power rack instead of boards as I found that having the boards there just made me concentrate on them and not the lift. I also found that starting the bench press from the down position (resting on the pins) helped a great deal to get past the sticky points.

RE: WSB and the new gym, you're still young and relatively new to the game so it will be good experience to give it a go, especially if it's in a gym full of other guys following the same sort of routine. It took me ages to finally work out which was best for me (which was "old school style").
