I'm trying to work out which combinations of bands have higher tensions in relation to one another. So if I'm progressing from a blue band, what's next? Blue and mini? Red and mini, two reds...? I did Blue x5x15 on hamstring curls last weekend and didn't know which would be the next progression, tried Red + Mini but not sure it felt any tougher. Something like:

Mini
Red
Mini + Mini
Blue
Red + Mini
Red + Red
Blue + Mini
Red + Mini + Mini
Red + Red + Mini
Blue + Red
Blue + Mini + Mini
Blue + Blue
Blue + Red + Mini
Blue + Blue
Blue + Blue + Mini

What do you reckon? Something like that?

For certain movements you could either double what you have (although this increases resistance alot, two fold even, suprisingly), or just choke the bands more (i.e. loop around DB/Rack 2/3 times, thus shortening band length).

Depends what I'm doing; if it's a really long movement, doubling isn't always great as the tension comes on hugely all of a sudden.

I reckon doubling the bands quadruples the tension as well rather than doubling it.

Is this a reference to something...? I don't get it :017:

Ah no - watched it but not obsessively. New one was more my cup of tea!
