Its been hard and expensive to eat enough to get to 90kg. Its costing me £60/week in food, and it takes over my life completely. I have noticed some things, I can't explain them, but these are my observations:

[1]
Getting to a given weight takes more effort and more kcals than maintaining it does.
[2] The stronger you are, the less you need to eat to maintain a given bodyweight.

Based on these strange findings:

Old diet was along the lines of:
10 meals a day and lots of whey. Averaging 5000kcals and 450g protien/day.

New diet is along the lines of:
3 massive meals+6-8 pints of milk a day. Averaging 3500kcals and 250g protien/day.

I will do this for 3 weks. If I lose any weight, I will up the kcals a bit.

6-8 pints of milk? I can see the reasoning behind it (i.e. lots of calories can be consumed quickly) but it contains a lot of sugar and fat.

And I don't need sugar and fats?

I haven't got the money right now to be ****ing around with whey and haven't got the patience to prepare meals 4 years in advance.

I am going to maintain 90kg for a while, whilst getting super strong, then when I can afford to/get boerd with me new found size, bulk up again, thsi time to 100kg.

SCRAPPED!

Got a pump today after benching and have decided I wasn't big enough, and that I want to be 240lbs sooner than soon. so I am going to be eating 'properlly' as help would say, from tomorrow.

I'm in favour of drinking a gallon of milk a day. It's an easy way to get your protein and calories up. Just have a pint with each meal and drink the rest when you're sitting at your computer - easy.

8 pints of milk a day? That means insulin levels are going to be chronically elevated so you will probably add more bodyfat than muscle.

There is quite a bit of estrogen in milk so you're getting a heck of a lot of estrogen. At a guess probably around four times the bodies normal amount of estrogen.

Your teeth will start to rot too.

Milk might be responsible for causing heart disease and prostate cancer. If it's true you're going to be a prime candidate for these diseases long term.

I could go on but I think that you're drinking too much milk.

Hmmmm.

Ihaven't added a scrap of bodyfat doing this for years... But, Boxer's word on nutrition is very well respected. Whey it is then (homo).

LOL! No need to drop the milk completely I just thought you were drinking too much that's all. Have a read of this article about insulin http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/nutrition/insulin.htm

I think it is the fat content that does the damage in terms of heart disease, but only if it is consumed excessively. 6-8 pints would be asking for heart disease, even if it was semi-skimmed milk. The semi-skimmed milk I use has 1.7g fat per 100ml, so there is 17g fat per litre or 9.5g per pint. That would work out as 78g of fat from 8 pints of my sem-skimmed milk.

One of the theories is the fat in milk causes heart disease. The problem is the fat in milk is homogonized. It might be a better choice to choose skimmed milk if you drink milk.

Another theory is that because the lactose forces the calcium through the intestines whether you need the calcium or not then this calcium can build up in the heart. Causing a heart attack.
