I can't see you tube at work, but if it's someone doing them with their knees on the ground i would suggest not doing them. Ever.

whos say they'll rape your knees?

i've done them a lot and my knees are one of the few parts of my body that isnt ****ed

It took one single session for them to **** mine. It seems pretty obvious that squashing a moving joint into the ground is going to be a very efficient way of grinding it to pieces?

hmmm well if u do it like that yeah, i used to use a step box with my knee joint off the edge

i dont do them anymore as i didnt really make any progress with them

Why do ghr benches cost so much? Anyone know what's the cheapest one out there at the moment?

You have a power rack don't you? Do some searching on line and i'm sure you can find peoples home made efforts. I think i've seen them with the foot plate attached to the wall and the dome bit where your thighs rest on an attachment laid across the safetys. I hope that makes sense.

Yeah I've seen some diy ideas and have posted some on another thread on here somewhere, but they are no replacement for the real thing. Problem is all the benches I've seen are so bloody expensive, there's nothing close to £200. If there was I'd have one straight away.

honestly it is more of a luxury though just go with a 45 degree hyper, you can set up on there with knees half bent to target your glutes and hams more. I rate that more that the ghr anyway and I have access to both.

plus you can pick a 45 degree and flat - 2in1 machine for about 150 or so. more bang for your bucks

You got a link to the 2 in 1 machine?

Cheers mate.

Could you explain in more detail how you target the glutes and hams with this?

I do a few variations on the 45 hyper. the normal exercise will hit the glutes and hams anyway. If I want to target them more. then I'll set my knees half bent and come up with the back vertical, similar to a ghr.

One of the advantages of living with parents I guess. That and the fact I don't drink, smoke or go with prostitutes.

Not sure tbh. It might be possible if you were to position your self the same as the second picture and grabbed onto the handles.
