I've been a bit sluggish in the gym recently due to long hours staring at a computer in work etc so thought i'd try some ProPlus to try and get me going a bit for a heavy day.
Had 4 (200mg) pre gym and didn't notice anything. Anyone else use stimulants of some variety before they lift?

I've trained on ECA. Didn't like it at all, especially not for conditioning. It made me feel queasy and I kept running to the bathroom because I thought I was going to be sick.

Eca made me nuts, i find a bit of coffee does me good before training but caffien tabs on there own make me reel ill
I've done ECA stack before and just Caffeine too but doesn't really seem to impact on me where my brother who at the same time was doing ECA couldn't function properly and felt jittering and sick.
Weird! So don't bother even when I'm tired, I find once i get to the gym after a few lifts you just get into once the heart is pumping. In fact I have had some of my best sessions when I felt super tired and thought I was going to have a crap session.
Caffein is shit mate, i've taken up to 400mg and it just makes me jittery. Best thing i have found pre-wo is 2g L-Tyrosine, 3g ALCAR, more subtle than caffein but great mental clarity and focus. Others to consider which i've read good things about: cocomine, AMP or Stimulant X (both geranium extract based) and weirdly tyramine and inistol done intranasally!
I find training on ECA is great if you are doing singles to fives; any higher and the cardio aspect of it can make it pretty nasty. Same with sida, which is still decent and cheap if you can find it about.
i can vouch for L-Tyrosine. good stuff.
Cool, cheers for the replies. I might try some alternatives, not every session but to help with heavy ones as I often have problems on max out days for some reason. Had 300mg of caffeine today and still didn't notice much and I hardly ever drink tea/coffee. I don't think i'm very sensitive to stims.

i never really found proplus to do much for me, i drink a fair bit of tea and coffee through out the day
i do drink Relentless or similar drinks if i'm in need of a boost for a workout, find they work well for me

caffeine - 200mg - 600mg. effects depend on the timing for me. if i time it right which is normally about 20 mins before i get in the gym, then i find it useful
ephedrine - about 30 mins before gym is good for me, any less and i sort of dont feel it
eca - same as ephedrine, i have found that training even a few hours after a dose is still more productive than without
tyrosine/taurine/alcar - good stuff, different feeling to the above
i used to take xyz before bjj and muay thai but ended up so hot that training became very difficult so stopped. leg sessions also tend to be gruelling, although the focus is helpful, the heat is just too much.
so nowadays its only every now and then, and mostly for upper body pumper sessions :)
overall i really need to time whatever i take well otherwise i reckon that i miss the 'peak' so don't get the benefit of it
sometimes i have taken stuff and its had the opposite effect on me and i have had really crap sessions, i don't know if thats due to overstimulating the CNS or what (if that sort of stuff happens)
