It may suprise you to know that i own this book, but its true.
Quality - 10/10
Erm... As far as books go, the "quality" of this book is, er... Good.
Perfromance - 7/10 (not as much BS as you might expect)
Arnold gives a detailed account of his rise to the top, and its actually quite a good read. He covers everything from being broke and an embarassment to his parents, to having the oppertunity to prostitute himself to a fag for a place to stay. Ugh. There is also some nonsense about training and diet.
Looks - 10/10
This is where the book delivers. The pictures are awesome. I don't particularly rate Arnold himself as one of the all time greatest BBers, but there are pics of loads of guys, and the ones there are of old Arnie, look pretty darn good. There are tons of pictures and you will no doubt see some familiar faces (Lou Ferengo etc) and some less familiar (Reg Park etc).
Value for Money - 7/10 (depends where you buy it)
I found the prices ranging from positively extortionate (£20 - Borders) to damn near peanuts (£4 - Ebay). There are plenty of good copies floating around on ebay, so make sure to have a good look. I personally bought a new one, but Arnold is a fat cat that (amongst other things) owns a half share in Starbucks these days and doesn't really need your money, so don't feel bad for stealing a copy, photocoping one, or buying from Ebay.
Other Notes - 10/10
Buying this book does make you feel a bit like some homo BBer for a while (you get inspired blah blah), but that feeling will subside soon afetr you get back in the gym and start squatting (properlly) again.
44/50
Happy reading.
