Was thinking about what people do to make themselves feel better when they are a bit down
I like to:
hit the weights/bjj/muay thai
go for a long drive
go for a walk in the countryside (fat chance at the moment given the weather)
eat ice cream and junk and watch a movie
browse IC refreshing every 30 seconds hoping somebody posts in my journal :016:
read / listen to some Qur'an
Not really the depressed sort... tend to just stuff my face and go to sleep.
I don't get depressed as such, just fed up and bored. I think about my travel plans and the day when I hand in my notice at work brings a nice smile across my face.
A few beers also helps cheer me up too !!
Go to the gym.
Read.
Listen to music.
Watch a film.
I'm terrible for the beer blues, always find doing an activity is best-love the adrenaline hit after a good weights sesh.
I’m not someone who gets depressed much, and I think training 4 times a week probably helps. I remember the time when I couldn’t train for 2 months after having surgery on my eye, and feeling very depressed as a result. Not just because I wasn’t getting the benefits from exercising, but also because I was addicted to lifting (Still am) and was desperate to train but couldn’t.
I wouldn’t say I train to make myself feel better when I’m down though. I train because I enjoy it.
Don't get depressed as have a easy going attitude and the way I look at life is no matter how bad it is it could be lot worse but to unwind I like spending time with family and hitting the gym.
Also I spend time with my own thoughts without any distractions at some point through the day everyday which helps keep my mind clear and focused
I like to do lots of little things throughout my day to piss other people off. Hey, works for me...
^^^ LMAO. I think how shit some people really have it and tell myself to stop whinging like a fag.
I get down when I dont fell im making progress, so I set some goals and atke some steps to meet them.
doing something constructive

Gym is normally a good one. Or food. Or beer!
Like you guys I don’t get depressed. Despite being the target of Narc’s insults lol.
If I didn’t lift like MecDomorph said then maybe I would. I think if you keep an active lifestyle you shouldn’t have time for depression.
Unfortunately I wasn’t born with much sympathy or compassion, if anyone mentions there on happy pills or starts talking about depression my answer always runs along the line of ‘Sort your ****ing life out, you winging ****’ followed by a slap. Should have been a social worker, my girlfriend who is a social worker doesn’t agree :017: :038:
