Oh my god how could that possibly offend Muslims? Seriously PC these days is ridiculous to quote the article:

If the book got serious complaints I'd understand but I don't think I'd find 1 person who'd be offended by that, and if I were a Muslim or a builder I think I'd be more offended that people were trying to speak for me without actually having a ****ing clue!

Muslims don't eat pork. I think they consider the pig to be a filthy animal and are not allowed to come into contact with them either.
The Qur’an prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places. It is prohibited in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.
"Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah."

im not being funny but i find it offensive when people talk to me with a mask on so why the **** are there books with people in masks in them!? not that i eat people with masks though, i have no problem with there being books about fish (something i find disgusting and dont eat)

BECTA didnt use logic hence it being so absurd. Any Muslim that finds the Qur'an offensive isn't a Muslim anymore.
Killing Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan etc... isn't offensive to Muslims but some stupid little book is.
I actually find the turning down of the book offensive, it makes Muslims look dumb. So I suppose the objective has been achieved.
As a Muslim I just see it as anti-Islamic propaganda and am sick of this sort of rubbish. Just recently the teddy bear and now this. Islam gets bad press and has been getting it for ages. Guy with a beard and Arab clothing farts and its breaking news. Anything with Muslims in it makes headline news whilst child rapists and murderers don't get a mention. Guy gets something like 16 years for walking around with a board with inciting words on it and paedophile's are getting a couple of years/months in some cases. 16 years is not a joke.
There are probably lots of soldiers dying in Iraq or Afghanistan or something so rubbish like this helps to move the spotlight so Joe Public's brain doesnt start working and actually thinking.
The Government goes on about integration etc... and then they totally isolate like 2 million people with stupidness like this.

I'm not suprised you feel like that at all. All this type of thing does is give essentially positive principles like political correctness and religious tolerance negative connotations for a large number of people.
but then in all fairness, what is news is news for a reason, things that make people stupid or makes other people look stupid.
