I used to do one that looked something like this. Gained some good size, but didn't feel like the strength gains were all that good (all 3x5):
Day1
Squat
Bench
Row
Shrugs
Day2
Deads
Overhead Press
Weighted Dips
Close Grip Chins
Then Bruce Kubik outlined something like this (mostly 4x5):
Day1
Squat
Overhead Press
Row
Farmer's Walk
Bent-leg sit-ups
Auxilary Work (Curls, Dips, etc.)
Day2
Deads
Bench
Sandbag Walk
Side Bends
Auxilary Work
With the holidays upon us and my work schedule, I'm finding that I'm missing and rescheduling too many work-outs, so I may bag the 3 day split in favor of one of these. Maybe still do singles on Deads, triples on Bench and Squat, and then 3x5 for the rest.
Anyone else have any experience with full-bodies?
Brooks Kubik ;)
Full body routines are cool, I perfer to keep 'em simple and do them a frequently as possible personally.
1. Squat/Deadlift
2. Dip/Bench/OHP
3. Row/Chin
Pick 1 exercise form each list and do that as often as possible. You can do it 2-4 times a week without to much trouble if your spot on with recovery. Esp if the volume is low-ish. 6x3 is cool.

Not sure I understand, Robert. Do you mean pick, say bench, and do that with each workout? Can you give an example?

NOTE: Brooks suggests using 4x5 progressively heavier sets, so only the last set is really hard work.
I think you could add chins to Day 2.
I'll probably be doing something like this in the new year when I start work and I'm a bit short on time.

No mate, 1 exercise from each list.
So it might go:
Squat 6x3
Bench 6x3
Row 6x3
Go home, rest, repeat in 2-3 days. Or instead of repeating that, maybe do
Deadlift 6x1
Dip 6x3
Chin 6x3
And the same again.
I have often wonderd about doing what you thought I was suggesting:
I.e.
Monday - Bench 3x5, and NOTHING else
Tuesday - Squat 3x5, and NOTHING else
Wednesday - Bench 5x3, and NOTHIGN else
Thursday - Squat 5x3, and NOTHING else
Friday - Bench 3x5, and NOTHING else
Saturday - Squat 3x5, and NOTHING else
Sunday - Rest
Because you are ONLY doing one thing per day, the frequency you could use would be awesome, you could literally repeat it every other day, maybe taking Sunday off. Try to lay off the DL's though.

Okay ... that makes more sense. Don't know what I was thinking.
Cheers.
