very very few IIRC, not enough to worry about anyway. then why are you worrying about calories, still holding onto the abs !? lol.

abs are boring now tbh, I'm having bout 100g bcca/day, and mate just suggested that its the same cals per gram as a normal protein will be. so that's potentially 400 cals if he's right?

Have to confess to having forgotten the answer to this one :( but there's some good discussion of it on T-nation here

and a decent article from the same place here

Basically the received wisdom is that yes, you're looking at 4cals per g for your BCAA intake (which is counter intuitive to me as it's not "complete" protein, but anyhoo) but that unless you're on large amounts then the benefits kind of balance out the calorie intake...(100g a day is probably large amounts though)

As long as you're happy taking on 400cals a day more from a quality source (eg BCAA) then crack on through it I say. Mind you, protein shakes would be cheaper.

Nice one tez, well i guess its not too bad in the grand scheme of things, It just mean that my cutting diet which i worked out to be 2,500 cals was actually close to 3k, so metabolism hasn't taken too much of a battering!
