try here (http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_11/tm.htm) and perhaps here (http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_713040/tm.htm) but i havent read the second one
i tried to make those protien bars once, they turned out awful.
I agree with King Fu on the muscletalk receipe - its rubbish.
Homemade Protein bars that actually work, and taste not too bad (taken from Precision nutrition):
Ingredients:
4 Large Scoops Unflavoured Whey (or 8 of the reflex size)
4 Table Spoons Peanut Butter (decent wholenut variety).
2/3 Cup Milled Flax Seed
Splenda to taste
1/4 Cup water
I add some Coco Powder too.
Method:Mix all ingredients in a large bowl to form a tough consistency dough ball, at first there will seem like not enough water but keep mixing and it all comes together, less than more is better with the water as too much won't allow you to mould the dough into bars. Once its all mixed up divide into 4 portions, put in clingfilm and shape into bar. Chill overnight in the fridge or freeze for later use. I use these most days as its difficult to eat on the move, they need a bit of water or a cup of tea but are more than palateable imho.
dont forget my pre made one tomorrow night dude :023:
I was just experimenting in the kitchen and made these:
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon honey
100g natural peanut butter
80g Oats
40g Protein powder (I only had raspberry flavour)
20g linseeds/flax seeds
Mix everything together, (it gets a bit sticky) divide into balls, flatten on baking tray and bake for approx 10 mins at Gas 5/190c
The mixture was really sweet and sickly which I thought was from using the raspberry flavour but once cooked they are not that sweet at all and taste really nice (imo)
Right, better go clean up the bomb site in my kitchen lol
