I've got a minor shoulder injury that's got slightly worse over the last few days. When I pull my left arm back there's a slight pain in my front delt and when I push it back theres some pain in my rear shoulder. It also makes a click when I rotate it fully up or down.
I think it's caused by holding the bar on my back when squatting since my shoulder muscles have got weaker by not doing any direct upper body for a few months and very little upper body stretching. I've got an appointment with the doctor on Thursday for my shoulder and elbow and stopped lifting for now. What do you think is wrong with my shoulder?

I've now got a tender sensation on part of my left pec, shoulder blade and lat, when touched.
It could be a thousand different things, seeing as are shoulder joint is extremely complex.Only through seeing an injury specialist will you find out
let us know how you get on

I second what Knighty said. After learning the hard way with a couple shoulder injuries I finally went to a doctor. You'll be amazed at how complex a shoulder actually is.
Don't try to remedy it yourself.

The shoulder seems alot better today but I'll wait and see what the Doc says in the morning. I've no plans to use it for at least two weeks anyway.

Going to the Doctors was a waste of time. I had to diagnose tendonitis for her since my elbow's been fine over the last few days and my shoulder is just a "minor injury". Her suggestion was that I should stop training for powerlifting and she made me an appointment for a physio in a months time. She can't give me anti-inflammatories because I might be allergic to Asprin.
My plan is to take a week off work and try Ibuprofen, then only do lower body work that doesn't involve holding a bar as well as high rep hammer curls, tricep pushdowns and stretching. If I seem fine by then it'll be onto squatting and deadlifting for a few weeks and finally upper body work as well.
