I've bought 2 5lb tubs of Reflex Whey and as a result this comes free with them. Now i'm wondering what the hell it does, apart from enduce 'pump' and are there actually any benefits?

Ingredients
Nitrous Malate™ (DiArginine Malate) - 2,500mg Creatine Monohydrate - 2,000mg Citral M™ (Citrulline Malate - 1,500mg GuaniPro™ (Guanidino Propionic Acid - 500mg VasoPhenol™ - 270mg (Grape Seed Extract standardized to 95% OPCs & Ginkgo Biloba 28:11, standardized to min. 3.0% ginkgolide B)

^^^ So an arginine and Creatine mix with a few other goodies. Jury is still out on the benefits of arginine, might make you feel flush and will cause some vasodilation enhancing the "pump" you get from training. You sound like you know enough to understand what effect creatine will have. Citrulline is used as a lactic acid buffer and is a Nitic Oxide precursor (more pump) - may increae enducance also, the rest should make you feel more alert for training.

I prob take it before weight training only.

Yeah seems like a good offer that to come free with the whey, give us some feedback after you've tried it. Might invest myself if its any good....

I don't think we ever sold more than a dozen tubs of this over 18 months, and no repeat sales. If they're giving it away free, it's probably for a reason. (e.g. can't sell it)

I used to use an arginine product and got a good "muscle pump" from it, but to be honest I don't think it ever did much for me other than make me "think stronger", so despite all my protestations at the time, I have to say that more than like was psychosomatic / placebo in it's effectiveness (I think it was Lactic and/or Narc I had the argument with, so chaps I take it all back...)

If it's free, just use it, what's the harm..?

Yeh wouldn't suprise me if they are just trying to get rid of the stuff, because of lack of sales.

mm tropical punch, not the nicest tasting flavour, infact it tastes shite. On the plus side, it smells like Skittles :)
