thing is a lot of the US fans won't know who they are.Won't be able to sell the fight(s) to the buying public.Lidell they would buy merely on the strength of his name,same as Randy.

UFC are slowly introducing the (former) PRIDE fighters to the US market and will be using them as headliners when they have a (US) fan base established.

I read that Joe silva the UFC match maker is a big fan of Aoki and would like to have him on board. I'd like to see him fighting in LW he'd tear it up and I'm gonna go out on a limb here are say I beleive he would beat Sherk..
In fact him and Hansen would make an already stacked LW div so much more entertaining. However I reckon they will both go back to shooto.

Heres a vid of Aoki breaking Keith Wisniewskis' arm in shooto. Looking at him I dont know how he'd cut to 155 seeing he's pretty skinny at 170

Good find.Always surprises me when you listen to a Japanese audience vs an American/British audience .Sound of deafening silence with the odd gasp in it.


edit.ouch that made me wince,big style.Yea he does look light.I wonder how he would adapt to both UFC rules and not fighting in a ring.Traditionally Japanese fighters have not fared that well.Or perhaps we don't get to see their best players?But look at Pride and the guys who were their champions and that was dominated by non-Japanese.

He will Smash through Jardine no doubt. Although it’ll be good entertainment I guess.
