I was on there earlier and there were loads of all-inclusive holidays, now they've gone

Anyway, any recommendations for online holiday sites? All I want is all inclusive, any london airport to somewhere hot.

:D Just reminded myself of Peter Kay - "Get on Teletext!"
"Booked it, packed it, ****ed off!"
"We're going t'Egypt - not next week, week after"

Anyway that's enough of that.

Might be worth a shot though...

Do NOT use lastminute. I got royally ass ****ed by them once, and thier customer service is appauling. That's the way they get you in I swear, advertise lots of great deals then when you go to book they've either disappeared or the price has doubled, exactly what happened to us, ****s.

Anyway, glad to hear you're taking a break, and going somewhere sunny you pasty ****. My advice: STA travel, among the cheapest and by far the easiest to book and best customer service.

Do they also do ridiculous half box squats and dumbell rows? (I think 2 people MIGHT get that one)

Am desperately trying not to book one I've seen which has you staying on 'Tossa beach', but 50% convinced it is worth it just for the hilarity....

I'll keep looking...

Turkey seems to be the place to be for stupidly cheap all inclusives, only problem is you have to leave it until literally a week before.

You could just go to any high street travel agent and ask what they've got for when you want to go, have done that before and got some good deals.

Look for some online holiday auction sites too, found one at work the other day but can't seem to find it now...

On another note, the calibre of new members is looking good.

Yeah, a mate and I once booked two weeks in Fuertaventura 2 days in advance just by going in and asking what they had, it went down £50 while we were sitting there! This only works in the low seasons though, do it during peak times and you'll pay shitloads for what few if any crap holidays they have left.

Not some where you can get late deals but you can get reviews from normal folk here of hotels abroad, so if you are booking a late deal make sure you find out your hotel and don't end up in a shit hole by checking here

Basically, all of those sites will rip you off, and sell you a shit holiday that they make great commission on (edit as appropriate for whatever industry you're looking at)

Go into a travel agent with your bags ready packed, they'll sort you out better than any website would.

HardcoreSportsTraining
04-07-2007, 09:55
Hmmm, the problem with that plan is that it might end up with nothing being available.......although it will probably be cheaper.

NJ
04-07-2007, 09:57
They will have something, there's always offer plastered over the windows for holidays in the next few weeks.

How many are going ?

HardcoreSportsTraining

Dunno, 2 or 3 of us, depends who can get time off.

NJ

I would be very surprised if you didn't find something.

Check the Thomson auction site, some of the stuff is named accommodation.

Bulgaria is meant to be quite good, cheap, good beaches for chilling on and plenty to do on the touristy side when you get bored. Hot this time of year as well.

NJ
04-07-2007, 10:12
Ye, Bulgaria is good, went a few years back, very cheap like Tez says, watch out for under cooked food tho', especially chicken.

Avoid anything with Balkan Holidays...

go to the airport bags packed and wait for a flight with 3 people who havent turned up. :023:

HardcoreSportsTraining
04-07-2007, 11:35
That would be quite cool actually, but ideally I want a package with all inclusive so there's nothing to worry about.

Eastern europe wasn't a thought before, but it could be an idea...

go on moneysavingexpert.com he's got a list of cheap flight and holiday providers on there.

Ive been boarding in Bulgaria, never in the summer but booze and that is all cheap as **** and the people seemed ok to me.

Getting pissed off with looking now, ironically looking for a relaxing holiday is causing much more stress. Might just get an isolation tank and a few kilos of mushrooms and take a different kind of 'trip'

Bullneck Pacifist Gimboid

Turkey's supposed to be a decent, cheap, sunny, relaxing holiday.

As long as they don't invade Northern Iraq or start a military coup while you're there, you're laughing (and the inherent risk of both makes it a definite winner for cheap flights and hotels...)

About double what I'd want to pay and/or not available. Cocks!

NJ
05-07-2007, 11:31
Have you tried the Teletext Holidays website ? How much do you want to pay ?

Walk into a travel agent, tell them how nuch you want to spend and ask them to find you something, worked for me before plus they would rather have your business than lose it to a website.

Unless you've done that already...

HardcoreSportsTraining
05-07-2007, 12:46
Teletext holidays sucks due to requiring a destination before it will even search....since I have no idea/don't care where I want to go I can't even get started. Have done random searches for bits of Spain/(Load o')Balearics and getting over 800 quid for a week prices, **** that. Looking under half that.

NJ

Teletext holidays sucks due to requiring a destination before it will even search....

No, it doesn't.

Choose "Any" in the destination box, much the same as you can choose any "London" airport to go from.
Tried it earlier for Sat 28/07 for 7 days, got some stuff for the greek islands at around £250 - £300, prob not All Inc. tho.

You tried those auction sites ?

HardcoreSportsTraining
05-07-2007, 13:05
**** you're right, I must have not checked there, although I was certain I did...

No not tried auction sites due to not wanting to **** around.

You suck,

Fecking bid on this :

3 Person Holiday (http://www.thomsonauctions.co.uk/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=84277397&prmenbr=34104164&aunbr=84624107)

HardcoreSportsTraining
05-07-2007, 13:14
Not all inclusive, plus I'm not getting into bidding for shit. I just want:

- Holiday to anywhere for right price
- Pay money
- Go
- Don't spend anything else
- No ****ing around

Not planning on going out at night then ?

From what I've heard about AI in europe,it's not always what its cracked up to be.

Stuff like certain drinks being excluded, queing up to get served etc.

Yay, my passport expires on the 14th. Killing spree it is then.

go to the passport office (http://www.ukpi.org/?gclid=CNLqu7bDkI0CFQquQAod2ASMig), get a short notice renewal. You might have to hang around in a queue for a morning to see someone, but then it takes something like 2 days to get sorted.

For the record, I had 2 weeks notice to get my passport for a skiing holiday last January, and cos I was born in Canada I had to present them with my Canadian birth certificate, my dad's English birth certificate, and my (now divorced) parents original marriage licence (in the end it was the decree absolute, but amounted to the same proof) - count yourself lucky that all you need to do is pitch up and get served.

Tbh i wouldnt go all inclusive again, i did it last year and this holiday i just got back from was self catering, it cost me a lot less despite having to pay for 3 of us last time jake went free, we didnt get ecoli this time, we did last time on all inc, and you are always tied to the hotel for meals wheras i ate in a different retaurant /cafe every night, our late deal was just in a window on the high street allocation on arival but tbh it was the best holiday ive ever had
