This is a new one on me-a power rack that if you get in trouble, release the barbell and the machine grabs it off you http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/P50-Squat-Rack-Bench-Press-Free-Weight-System_W0QQitemZ120130939517QQihZ002QQcategoryZ152 81QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotoh osting

I'd invest in a rack tall enough to do overhead stuff in.

Yea, it is kinda weedy but IF you let go of the bar on either side the sensors realise this and grab the bar off you !!!!

the most you could squat on it is 160 ? hmm...useful.

Yeah but the technology is there, won't be long before someone migrates it onto a stand that can take more weight.

I'm impressed, anyway...

Ive seen a similar one rated at loads more that endorsed by lee priest, he was benching loads on it and it worked. Might of been the same thing but the commercial model

i dont get how that 'technology' is any more useful than having catch pins set up at the appropriate height, i.e an inch below your chest for benching, an inch or so below par for squatting...

yeah thats a good point and lets be honest i have more faith in big steel bars saving me from getting crushed to death than something that probably takes batteries

Exactly. What happens when your squatting and it decides not to work. Your gonna need to drop it slightly to activate the catch then splat. Stick with your standard cage if you ask me!
