View Full Version : Accumeasure 3000 BF calipers
Anyone know if these are any good? £9 delivered off eBay, sounds pretty cheap.

We used to do 2 types of the Accumeasure calipers, there was a manual and a digital one.
The digital ones were shit, manual were pretty good but obv only as good as the person doing the measuring sort of thing. At that price sounds like the manual ones, and yeah that is a decent price, most places did them for about £15 so £9 is a bargain.
Yeah, it's the manual one. I'll treat myself to finding out how fat I really am shortly after my birthday and the sizable quantity of baked confectionary consumed thereon. Doh.
i think ive got these...
completely useless in my experience...I tried the 1 site test as they suggested I think i came out at like 9%.
I tried a 7 site test off the net and came out at something like 25. I wasnt able to replicate either a second time. Just use that navy thing i would.
Oh, I'd already bought them by the time I read that - it's only £9 though, so not the end of the world. Hopefully I can just keep practicing until I get it reasonably accurate. Is the Navy one the ratio of neck to waist or something? That put me at about 12% before iirc, which was possibly a shade under the real value...
