Nightmare !!
I have just injured myself Squatting - OK so the "Torn Quad" diagnosis may be a more a symptom of my hypercondria - but i'll explain what happened and would welcome any opinions - treatment advice etc
I was squatting a weight I should have been good for about 4-5 reps on
I had warmed up as well as I always have done , first rep easy , second rep , in the bottom position I was just about to begin my ascent when I felt my left quad "give" what felt like an inch or so - I was still able to complete the rep easily (is this a good sign ? would this rule out a tear ? )
Now , my whole lateral quad aches (please excuse my lack of knowledge on muscle names ) and it hurts when I prod about an inch above where the tendon appears to join the side of my knee - sitting typing this the whole of the left side of my quad feels "tight" -but not overly painful
looking back it is a very cold day today - maybe I didn't warm up enough
Any Ideas ? just about to put some Ice on it
