Thinking of getting myself an exercise bike to do HIIT. Haven't got a clue really about which one to get, but was cosidering the following:

Anyone got any suggestions? or will this one be ok?

Cheers

Seems pricey for what it is esp.if you just gonna use it for HIIT..theres always burpees :023: .My wife uses this one (or similar)http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3026593/Trail/C%24cip%3D50353.Sports%2Band%2Bleisure%3EC%24cip%3 D50406.Home%2Bgym%2Bequipment%3EC%24cip%3D50416.Ex ercise%2Bcycles.htm and that seems to do the job okay.Don't know how it rates in comparison and obviously the computer is not as complex but how many functions do you need on it anyway?

My parents have a cheap one, about £30 was no good for sprinting: pedals were not smooth (which my knees didn't appreciate) and if you went too fast the screen went blank!

Yea the really cheap ones are crap.We paid about £80.00 for the one we use. What about you check the local papers/ebay as there often seems to be people selling them in there or the small ads in the newsagents often seem to have them too....

I've had a look at muscle talk they highly recommend spin cycles, so think I'll try and get myself a cheap one off ebay.

I don’t think I’m fit enough to handle a 45 min spin class. When I get my bike, I’ll be happy if I can manage 10 minutes HIIT at first.

well yknow a beginers class wouldnt be too hard, we are all highly tuned crippled athletes here remember

Lol, aye, I think you may be right there. I know you could probably go at a pace your comfortable with, but I just don’t fancy looking like a panting poof in a public place. And tbh, not sure if there are spin classes near me.
