Yeah, sounds way over the top at first.

There is a mention of 'ongoing behaviour' tho, perhaps the parents who called the police have simply had enough of seeing their boy being sent unfriendly emails.

In my day everybody used to get a bit of name calling and mickey taking at school in the payground, these days kids can get it at school, when they're at home on msn and email and even when they're out via sms on the mobile phones.

Perhaps this is just a bit mickey taking that got out of hand.

Yeah i got kicked in the dick so hard by the local buly when i was a kid it turned my dick yelow for about a week. True story, same guy walked past me when i was a kid punch me out and left me lying in the gutter of a busy road, I had not done anything to him, he was a scumbag

I thought about this after a read the article. I took another look and sure enough it said "Apr 1", but it made me think again since I don't think it's something that would be posted as a joke on a popular online news site.

I don't think this an April fool prank. Just a waste of police time that I'm sure the parents/school could probably have dealt with themselves.
