View Full Version : feel like a pratt, but....
are shrugs push or pull
(goes to hang head in shame)
Neither really, but I would include them in pull if those were the only two choices.
Vertical push I'd have said? Really wouldn't get too concerned about though.
I'd say verticall pull. :017: There's no pushing invloved. A vertical push would be tricep dips for example?
Vertical push a la OHP or Push press. I'm thinking of the contraction of the muscle (traps) mainly involved, in a shrug theri gonna be stressed similary to a OHP, or am i being a spastic.
I would of thought pull as the weight is moving towards the area of contraction.

assistance :)
I'd put it in with the pulls 'cos you use your traps more with the pulling exercises like deadlifts, oly pulls and ghetto rows. Would only bother about it with a BB split.
