Alright Craig, here's a shoulder exercise for you to do with light dumbells:

His main sport is cycling but he wants to get a bit bigger and stronger and he doesn't know anything about lifting weights. He should be buying a set of dumbells soon, so I'll be posting a routine up for him.

what kind of sets/reps should you be looking at for this drill?

I do 8 or more reps, 2 to 3 sets and use it as a warm up.
