If you're new to the world of Iron City-esque training, then there are probably a lot of different terms that don't make much sense.
The purpose of this thread is try to cover a lot of those terms. I'm sure we won't get everything as the thread will be enormous but feel free to add your suggestions to this thread.
A
Abs - Abdominal Muscles. May refer to the muscles of the abdomen in general, or to the rectus abdominal muscle in particular.
Accommodating Resistance - A type of variable resistance that accommodates the strength curve of a given exercise. See Bands and Chains.
ACL - Anterior Cruciate Ligament, one of four major knee ligaments.
AS - Anabolic Steroids.
AAS - Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids.
ATG - Arse To Grass
AYBABTU - All Your Base Are Belong To Us.
B
BP - Bottom Position, e.g. BP Squat, starting from the bottom position in the squat.
Bands - Elastic resistance bands, often referred to by their colour, which indicates their level of resistance.
BP - Bench Press.
BO - Bent-over as in bent-over rows.
BB - Barbell.
BJJ - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
BS - Blast Straps.
BTK - Below The Knee or Behind The Knee, depending on the context.
BTN - Behind The Neck.
C
Chains - Heavy metal chains attached to a barbell or other lifting apparatus as a form of resistance.
Chalk - Used to improve the grip during a lift. Available from outdoors/climbing equipment suppliers.
CG - Close Grip.
Concentric Contraction - A muscular contraction characterised by a decrease in length of the contracting muscle.
CS - Chain-Suspended or Chest-Supported.
CSR - Chest Supported Row.
Curling in the Squat Rack - An activity often seen in commercial gyms. Generally indicates that the guilty party wants their ass kicked.
CV - Cardiovascular.
D
DL - Deadlift.
DE - Dynamic Effort.
DOMS - Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.
DB - Dumbbell.
DC - Doggcrap Training.
DO - Double Overhand.
DU - Double Underhand.
E
Ephedrine - Illegal stimulant, used as an energy booster and a dieting aid.
Eat - EAT!!!
ECA - Ephedra, Caffeine, Aspirin. See Ephedrine.
Eccentric Contraction - A muscular contraction characterised by an increase in length of the contracting muscle.
External Rotation - Usually used when refering to shoulders, the action of rotation the humerus away from the midline of the body.

Glutes - Muscles of the gluteus group.
GNP - Ground and Pound.

Hammer Grip - Positioning the hands during an exercise so that your palms face each other.
HIT - High Intensity Training. Godawful training protocol characterised by skinny trainers, muscular proponents who never used it, wasted bandwidth and an abject failure to understand even the most basic aspects of human physiology and modern exercise science.
HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training. A training protocol for cardiovascular exercise. Good for fat loss.
