View Full Version : to squat tonite or not?

right - hurt my wrist last week doing OHS. meant had to do legs before normal scheduled upperbody session (MP, dips, BB row all @3x3, CG chins 2x6). not too sure if i can manage an upperbody workout today. wrist is better but not 100%.

on wednesday for legs i did:

GM's - 3x10 - 60kg (havent done these for ages)
Full Squats - 5x3 - 117.5kg

still got some doms in hamstrings.

should i squat tonite and ifso any suggestions as to what i should do?
if i dont train tonite then its going to be well into next week before i can.

since its a 90% probability that i wont be doing upper body, i was thinking of doing some very light OHS followed by lots of single full squats. ?

sod it :067: - i'm going to squat anyway. theres plenty of distance between my wrist and my legs and its been 2 full days since i've squatted. its either squat or lose a session and i only get 2 a week at the moment.

should be okay if you keep it light and work on technique/speed.

well i did squat, but it wasnt light. got a PB on the full squat of 130kg <buff>

i only did 8 singles though and thought to leave it at that though i could have probably got another 5kg if i pushed myself.

yep. i had considered doing singles at the same weight -about 120kg, but im fasting and recovery is limited as a result i thought not to overdo it.

i did:

40kg -6
60kg -3
80kg -3
90kg -1
100kg -1
105kg -1
110kg -1
115kg -1
120kg -1
125kg -1
130kg -1

was going to stop at 120/122.5ish but found it easy so carried on :040:
