I'm getting this happening on MSN from two members who use this board.
Does anyone know whats going on here? Anyone else seeing these messages?

well i know one of the members is me!
I got home at 2am and had this sent to me from someone who I worked with, so assuming its safe I clicked the link. Nothing happened and I immediately got worried. Then I realised something had happened, I had obviously downloaded a virus.
With task manager running, every few minutes about 5 visual basic programs would execute themselves and try to send that link to everyone online on my contacts list. I hope nobody else has actually got this virus from a link it sent from my computer. I will not be on msn until I find a fix for this.

Had to uninstall windows live messenger, it keeps/kept trying to load it when I shut it down. Ad-aware picks up serious errors/toolbars installed, AVG crashes the system when I do a scan with it, trying other stuff now.

Did opera not flash up a warning message like IE7 does?

Right, I think I've fixed it.
- Uninstall Windows Live Messenger
- Run Ad-aware scan
- Restart
- Run AVG spyware scan
- Run Spybot S&D scan (install teatimer with this as it blocks it reinstalling itself)
- Restart
- Run AVG antivirus scan
- Run Ad-aware scan
- Restart
- Reinstall Live Messenger
Seems there is a load of bad shit circulating at the moment. My comp is cripled and I have all anti-virus stuff installed.
I'm just waiting for vista final retail to be released before I do a re-install.
Isn't vista supposed to be absurdy system heavy?

I won't be going to Vista until they release SP1 for it lol.
My PC is running sweet as a nut (touch wood).
