Curious to see what everyone does.
I try not to listen to the rubbish r'n'b and cheesy commercial dance music my gym plays.

Listening to R'n'B is against forum rules
i only listen to the music in my head when i train in the garage
when im in other gyms im forced to listen to other shit
i think its been proven that listening to pop music makes you progressively gay

LOL help, yeah I think there is definately a correlation with the amount of pop music you listen to and how gay you are
i usually listen to metallica
If I remember to take my MP3 player, (about 1 in every 100 times I visit the gym) I listen to RATM. Other than that, I try my best to blockout the whirl wind potpourri of verbal dihorreah that is the SmashHits music channel, played very loudly, even in the free weights section.
I listen to whatever I want in my garage..
Mainly Slipknot, Metalllica, Tool, Pantera, RATM, Queens of the stone age, Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, RHCP etc etc..

good to see there are some like-minded individuals around here ...
my current playlist on the ole iPod includes healthy doses of Slayer, Hatebreed, and New York's own Sick Of It All.
Idealy I would like to train in silence but since I cant because the gym plays gay music I take my own music.
I train in silence, I train in my garage and I listen to some music from Rocky before I go out!

I find myself singing along to my music and getting distracted when I'm lifting so I don't bother with it. I don't really notice the crappy gym music as I'm usually concentrating and worrying about my next set of squats.
