Wasnt happy with depth on 1st sets so tried to get a deep double on last set.

Not a bad session, only the 2nd one in the suit. Its pretty loose really, only takes a couple of minutes to get on. Depth and lockout are main areas that need improving. Oh squatted in chucks for the 1st time, cant see me ever going back to work boots.

Hahaha. Gotta love your legs getting ripped apart.

Depth was a tad high, but I'm sure it wont be a problem when you wear the suit in.

BTW, I was looking at the IPF rule book today and work boots are banned, so you're not allowed to go back to them anyway! :P

If you are planning on competing in the IPF those squats were way too high to get three white lights in that fed. I think you should try and get a better spotter as well.

I think Ben realises that. Once he breaks the suit in and adds some more weight, depth wont be a problem.

My spotter is a multi-time and weight IPF champ whos been at the top level of competetive PL for over 10 years. He's totalled 720+ at 82kg. He's also a personal friend and a very knowlegeable, intelligent and helpful man. He has NEVER let me get anywhere near having to dump a lift or within spitting distance of injury whilst we've trained together.

You can think of a better replacement?

Nah I think glutes are pretty much done by then...maybe a little in getting hips forward but i think its generally an upper back problem. I dont really know actually. Im gonna hit some rack pulls next week and see.
