Home Made Blast Straps

Everyone seems to be getting into these so I thought i'd finally stop thinking about it and jump on the band wagon.

For me, Mr No Bench or Dip, they've gotta be a good idea.

The postage on the official blast straps is stupid so I took the home made route.

You need 2 x cable stirrup handles, £9 each
2 x roof rack type straps from Halfords, £6
and thats it.

Look good mate, are these meant to be a good training tool? Cos i've read about them but never used them nor seen anyone use them

I have handles, just need to pick up some straps, although i'll probably opt for chain

I see, and they charge as much as that for them,

looks like a good cheap (if handmade) little tool for incorporating some variety into your training.

Where do get the handles from? are they actually stirrups form a horse shop?

You could wrap some gaffa tape round them and make some thick handles ones easily enough.

Answering my own question, no they're not from the horse shop. proper stirrups have a flat section instead of rounded like the ones above.

They're proper cable attchments by the looks of it, silly me lol.

Where did you get the stirrup handles from Pikey? I need something to combat the harshness of my rope set up at home. I currently have to don the lumberjack gloves for me mitts. :012:

Is there any difference to using a strap like PKs' and chain like Narcs' ?
Could i do something similar just using bands ?

Chains look cooler :)
i Imagine bands would soak up alot of your force

Bands, no.

Chains are obviously a bit stronger, but you have the problem of them tearing up your arm when pressing.
