Has anyone here heard of John Gallacher?
He was the first person to lift the Inch Dumbbell after Thomas Inch, can blow up hot water balloons, is 1991 World Masters Powerlifting Champion, he's lifted the 448lbs Dinnie stone twice at the age of 26 and 62 and many other feats of strength. I thought you boys would like to read the link about him as he has never weighed more than just over 12 stone and has phenomonal grip strength. He knows all of the current strongmen/powerlifters around the country and runs his own shows here in Bournemouth. He lives literally 2 minutes round the corner from me so I go round for an hour chat a week and a cup of tea once a week! Learning loads from him, and am going to the gym with him hopefully next week!
He's 73 now and still lifts 250kg 1RM Deadlift!
I will ask him if I can borrow some photo's that he's shown me (of him breaking chains across his chest, blowing up hot water baloons, the trophy Thomas Inch gave him etc) and scan them an put them up if anyones interested?
A website on him is here John Gallacher (http://www.seniority.co.uk/contributions/health/wellbeing/index.php?ArticleID=wellbeing_1013258222)
