About four weeks ago I had pain in my lower back around my sacrum. I stopped squatting and rested. It was improving but have managed to twang it again this week, its hurting more on the left side now. Its not very painful, just enough to be a nusiance and stop me lifting.
Our working theory is that I was squatting too deep for my flexibility, tendons were being pulled etc. When I'm upright and spine is neutral I don't feel a thing but hurts when I tilt my pelvis. Did an SMR session yesterday and didn't feel anything in that area. It doesn't hurt when I press it either.
Opinions? Has anyone had it before? Roughly how long should I expect to be out for?

???? backs are odd things, i niggled mine getting out of my van the other week and some days its fine others it gives me shit
You will probably always have some lower back problems now and then, and yes probably caused by squatting too deep, but as you know it is almost imposible for anyone to diagnose over the internet. If it is muscle inflammation, as long as you don;t aggrivate it, it should get better quite quickly.

Not looking for a internet diagnosis, just opinions.
Don't think its muscular. Feel absolutely nothing when I press directly, even when pressure is quite firm. We think it might be some kind of injury to tendons.

i think mine is tendons too as if it was muscular it would of sorted by now plus it would hurt more of the time imo,

I haven't been testing too much because I've been trying to get out of that habit.
I've just tried. It seems to be both. Can feel it when I arch and round it. Probably more so when I tilt pelvis posteriorly though that may be because I tend to do that more in general.
My massage teacher thinks I may have tweaked my sacroiliac joint and suggested I see an oesteopath.
