I've had a sore lower back for about four days now.
Would alternating ice and heat massage be a good idea?
If so, how many minutes of each?
I've got a wet tea towel in the freezer and hot water bottle to sort it out.

warm baths, stretching. no ice imo for lower back, most of the problems i get is cus im not flexible enough, icing wont help. well this is what i think anyways. also just take a few days off the squatting deadlifts

I don't understand my back problem, It's been sore for a week, I did some light training on wed and fri and all seemed fine.
But last night whilst sitting at the pc it started throbbing, I could hardly sleep with the pain. Got up this morning, iced it then had a hot bath and it seems fine again.
I'll just have to be careful of the way I sit in future.

sitting is without a doubt the most painful thing for my back. Sitting in neutral spine makes irt slightly better.
