Probably won't be long now before i start training again in some way or other, i will have been off for about 4 months i suppose by then. What do you all think will be the effects of this lay off? I have lost alot of weight, mostly fat yet i don't feel weak. However i have not tried to lift anything heavier than about 70kg since stopping training so i don't know what heavy weight will feel like now...

Any opinions / comments welcome.

Cheers :017:

Every time I take a good stretch off, I find that it takes about 2 or 3 weeks just to gauge my working weights again. Also, it depends on why you took the time off. If it was because of a sickness, then you may have lost a lot of muscle and fat from not eating and such.
And remember to EASE BACK INTO IT!

I take it this was through your various injuries? Take your time mate, muscle memory acts fast, Its not the end of the world anyway so to echo Black lab ease back into it, and i would add enjoy it too

Hi Al. Great to hear from you. Still interested in BBing?

Hello mate, yes i am still interested in bodybuilding. Bodybuilding is after all what i tried to do for about 8 years before my time dabbling wih strength, however this does not mean i will be lifting light poncy weights as i am sure you know...you interested in it too now i believe...?

I would like to get away from the big lump look i have had whilst being a strongman and move toward a leaner more shapely look I would also like to get a bit fitter and mor flexible / agile.

Cheers

Only one way to find out !

You haven't had THAT long off - & I assume you kept up a similar eating pattern while you weren't training ? (i.e. not very good )

Give it a month or so to find your groove and you will be moving some serious iron - for whatever goals you decide on

It feels like ages though! And before i stopped completeley i was only training at a percentage of effort and load because of my injuries.

Yes my diet is still very similar to yours :019: :040:

Cheers pal, Yes a new era is at least imminent...

Not thought about routines, might not really have one as such, probably just instinctive, i am definately just doing this because i want to and because i enjoy it not because i want to get too serious or complicated. I simply realise that i miss lifting.

How is your come back coming along?
