I really want to copy and paste it but its too long.... basically shes telling me compound movements are too advanced for a beginners motor units and they wont gain anything! And now shes blocked me because I cant take it that shes right and im wrong :043:

oh and when I mentioned 'good mornings' she said 'i am unfamiliar with that exercise' I then explained and she went mad raving on at me saying its too dangerous for pretty much anyone to use... even doing 3 sets of 20 with only 10kg

WEll she is wrong then, Compounds have gotta be the best for beginers as long as form is good deadlifts and good mornings will be fine. imo

I had a PT try to sell me last night in the gym. Then she tried to tell me that I should be doing my Overhead Presses behind the neck, "especially if you're standing up."

if she ever unblocks you try mentioning that people such as Paul Chek and Mike Clark (NASM) recommend good mornings. If shes a PT and doesnt know who they are shoot her with a harpoon

I've used an PT off and on for the last year . Wane I first turn to an PT for help I was think amount quiting training. But he got the motivation back into and the gain's have been unreal. With in 3 mouth's I was doing rep's with more than what my was 1rep max on the bench. I've now gone back to him with an goal of lowing body fat and it's only been 5 week's from the start of the new program and the resalts are starting to show already.
Not all PT are stupid or olny know now to wright an " get fit" progarm. Find an good one and the resalts will sprice you.

maybe... but theres no reason why you can't find out all the info/advice you need from much more knowledgeable people through the internet

i've learnt everything i know about training through the internet... ok im not an expert but i know a damn site more about weight lifting than the average PT IMO

this was proven both at school by the teachers with PT qualifications and this girl

i'd rather learn it from the net, practice and trust my instincts than let her who thinks she knows it all when quite clearly she doesnt or any other twat with a qualification who has the attitude that no one else is right and they are 100% correct with everythnig they say

Most PT's are like that and the truth is most people listen to PT's because they think because they have a qualification they are right. There are a few PT's in my uni seminars and they think they are always right and everyone believes them just like that, because of their bit of paper. That's until Mike opens his mouth....
