Front squats, how do hold onto the bar?

I had my forearms crossed infront of my chest, holding the bar with my palms down. Upperarms parallel to the floor.

Any additional coments?

Ive recently moved to clean grip, it took some getting used to but now i find it far more comfortable than cross arms

I use cross arms but find it very uncomfortable, my shoulders end up bruised as fcuk as well..

I'm trying to picture how you do them with a clean grip..?

Cheers BD, just googled it and seen the clean grip.

Saying as its a new exercise perhaps i should start learning it with the clean grip, rather than have to relearn the grip later.

Once your wrist get the flexibility its great trust me, No shoulder pain where bars are on bone and stuff

Agree with Beng, mine is coming along great since I adopted clean grip and I barely get any wrist discomfort now, deffo worth the initial effort

I've front squatted quite a lot over the last 10 months or so but couldn't come to terms with the clean grip at all. Didn't harm my progress.
Unless your going to do Oly lifts I wouldnt worry too much about the grip.

When I used the cross-over grip it dug into my collar bone, very uncomfortable indeed. Maybe I wasnt doing it quite right
