firstly i am going to get some acupunture or a physio on this as soon as possible.
basically when i bench, at the bottom of the press i feel this quite uncomfortable sensation in the back of the meat of my delt and also in sort of behind the armpit area/top of the lat, in my right shoulder only. its less if somebody helps me unrack the bar.
i get the same feeling if i do the military press, in the bottom position when the bar is on my collarbone.
also my shoulder feels weak in general, like when i put my arm behind the sofa - as you do when putting your arm round your partner who is seated next to.
have had this for a while now since coming to egypt and benching on what imo are narrower benches than what i use in england. the other factor i can think of is that i have stopped doing any direct shoulder work for months now.
