View Full Version : Welcome to the new injury support forum!
This forum is dedicated to those who feel that they must offload some steam about their injuries or illnesses which are preventing them from training, and gives people who have had similar experiences (or even those who haven't) an opportunity to offer support.
Do you want to tell somebody who understands how frustrating it is to be out of training what is bothering you ? :022:
How would you like to read about people bouncing back from serious injuries and coming back bigger and stronger than ever?<buff>
You have come to the right place my friends!

Sounds like a cool idea.
I'll start.
I have form/glute problems so my dead/squat weights are going backwards :( .
I have been box squatting in an attempt to regain form and power. Things ok so far but would love to full squat again. It's true how people dont appreciate something untill it's gone, and that's how I feel about squatting.
I love box squatting because I appreciate squatting in some shape or form and am very gratefull for it.

Right there with you, bro. Only I can't squat AT ALL!
It sucks, but with some serious PT I should be back in a couple of months.

Mike, have you got underactive glutes? If so I can recommend the articles that PK highlighted for me on TMag (I dont have the link handy). It was astonishing the difference it made to my GMs yesterday. Previously, whenever I've tried GMs they felt like a low back exercise. Last night I could feel strong contractions in the glutes/hams-at last!
Ditto BK. I am not sure if I had underactive glutes, but GM's feel like they should now.

Underactive glute's is a possibility, I read both articles on the old IR. I get crazy doms from box squats, which I hope is a good sign. Pull thru's are stupidly easy which means my glutes are active. It doesnt make sense.
GM's are worthless at the moment, cant feel a thing. Which glute activation exercises did you do?
BlackLab, just hang in there, you WILL have a new appreciation of the squat when you return.
