i need to start doing some H.I.I.T to get rid of my F.A.T.
i have a choice of the following machines at the gym:
stepper
treadmill
stationary bike
(preacher curls bench :) )
any suggestions asto which would be best?
definately not the treadmill, it takes too long to change the speed

stepper an eliptic (x trainer) would be my frst choice, stepper has a real good carry over to mountain biking imo more than an excersice bike as ist is more like struggling up a steep hill out of the seat

i'd agree on stepper, just coz of the instant change of resistance, concept 2 rower is a very close 2nd, also spin bike would be good
not the treadmill, it doesn't cross over that well to real running, aswell as being awkward to adjust pace on.
Not the treadmill or the staionary bike, 'cos they are gay. Just run outside, or use the stepper. I don't know of anything that burns the same amount of kcals/min/given intensity than a stepper.

How about chasing one of those dumb ass 16 year olds ;)
Chasing them is the easy part. If you are over 20 and have a car/live away form home, they fall at your feet in thier droves. It's parking them 20 times a night that burns the kcals. :026:

so looks like the stepper is the winner. but....
i have also discovered that we have a punch bag.
would that be a contender or still the stepper?

bump
late contender:
stepper vs punchbag....?
stepper. unless you are actually fighting. that is the best HIIT ever.
fight (grapple) for 1-2 mins followed by a 3 min jog on the spot. repeat.
