OK guys, if for some reason you couldnt train what would you do?
I'm currently in this situation and its doing my head in, all I think about is training.

Hmm tough to say, can not train means? Cant train at all at anything or can you still hit the cross trainers and stuff? All out no training, i would download, all the series of the shield, sopranos, and smallville and watch them in the dark

i'd train grip if possible. failing that read lots, learn a language or skill. how to knit etc... write articles, ...
Id look at getting a social life, and if that doesnt appeal to me, Id probably while away my hours watching repeats of star trek in my 'Im too sexy' shirt.

As long as the government doesn't turn its eye to banning them. Many countries are imposing severe restrictions on owning swords such as Australia and some states in America. Rage, you've got to tell me who its made by and if its just a wallhanger.

Yeah, guns are pretty much banned here after the Port Arthur massacre, so I guess this is the next step.
In the last few years, quite a few loons have gone silly with swords. Some poor chap thought he was a knight and was standing in the middle of a road with swords (they got the dogs onto him and didn't shot him), and there have been a bunch of stabbings by Asian gangs and the like, so they're cracking down on knives and swords now.
Good idea IMO, people don't need that shit.
I am well into survival. I know every trick in the book and then some. Go to the lakes/fells for 2 weeks with nothing but a knife and a good pair of boots, see how many days ya last. I managed 12. My mates record is 26, but he was a fanny, he went in summer.

If they ban swords then maniacs and criminals will move onto other weapons like axes and crow bars. Swords aren't something that you can carry around discretely so I'd say knives are more dangerous in general and you can't ban kitchen knives.

I think we may have posted on this subject before but.....I'm a carp fisherman. Have been since the age of about 10 or 11. Its been a passion and an obsession at times (lots of marital strife!).
However, for reasons I don't really know I've lost the urge to go and have hardly done any fishing for about a year or so. Perhaps its because i've gotten into this strength/powerlifting lark!?
No doubt it will change and I'll be begging the missus to allow me to go for a weekend at a time!

Yeah I think you're right. Carp eh, I used to be a Carp fisherman but I got caught up in the bivvy brigrade and suddenly thought to myself 'hang on this isnt fishing'. So i am now a Pike angler, mainly fishing rivers in the winter. I havent done any this year though, I seem to have lost the bug for the moment.
