allright. heres the deal. im at uni, ****ing spent all my loan, maxed overdraft. i have jack scoob cash. i need to work like full time really, tho i quit one job i had cus it was just too shit and hard for 5.00 an hour. do u think the below routine would allow me to make really good overal strength progress, although it being 3 days a week, doing only the 3 lifts. aswell being that i live in the midlands, most jobs for summer that are available are warehouse jobs. these can be quite brutal, heat, hours, actual nature of work were affecting my normal workouts really bad. so what do u think? give it a shot? anyone think its ok :017: :)

do some hard graft you'll be fine, my job is sometimes very manual and i still work out in the evenings, lifting weights isnt the most important thing in life, do it for enjoyment, work for the cash.

3x3 routines are supposedly quite good, but ive never tried

you could do a 6x3 workout for your whole body twice a week. thats what i did when life was a bit cramped

There's 3x3 as in '3 sets of 3 reps each' and then there's 3x3 as in Korte's 3x3, which looks ****ing brutal, like Smolov's little brother.

You appear to be talking about the later, in which case your recovery will need to be v. good. I'd expect you'd make v. good gains - The problem I expect is finishing the routine sans injuries.

cheers for the opinions on this lads.
beng: although progress and weights shifted at the moment are not really anything competive, id like to go somewhere in PL so i couldnt do a manual labour job for life, im a real lazy bastard.
block:ive considered full body 2-3 times a week, could still go for it.
scourge: to be fair ive only looked at the first couple of weeks for kortes 3x3, from what i see on paper it dont look too bad, but i might not be saying that when im stuck in the hole with 400lbs on my back! do u know what the protocol is for the other 3x3? will i be using heavy weights more often due to overall volume being low? sorta abbreviated style of training?
to be fair im gunning for the routine above. training once at weekend ie ill be fully prepared rested wise, and twice during week.

Go for Korte's 3x3, I fancy doing it one day and I'd like to see how you get on. It might get boring but it should improve your form on the three lifts and ***p your squat and dead up a fair bit. Here's an outline of it Korte's 3x3 Outline (http://www.deepsquatter.com/strength/archives/korte.htm) . You can always say :034: "I passed Korte's 3x3".

'The other 3x3' is just a set-rep scheme i.e. three sets of three reps each, not a routine of any kind. It's short and sweet. Also heavy.

On second thoughts, I think you should do Korte's because of it's conspicuous lack of overhead pressing, which you definitely shouldn't be doing.

At all.

Ever.

Good stuff, don't skip the high volume phase or you'll find the 3x3 part tough.
